About Olé School of Spanish
History and Professional Qualifications
Olé began over ten years ago in the Historic Heights as a conversational Spanish school dedicated to personalized, quality instruction. The owner/instructor, Rebecca Bounds, has 30 years teaching experience with a repertoire including instruction to children, young adults, university students, and adults in all walks of life.
Rebecca has written Spanish curricula for schools and conducted numerous educational workshops for teachers, here and abroad. Rebecca received her B.A. from University of Texas at Austin and M.A. from Vanderbilt University where she studied as a Teaching Fellow. She did undergraduate and graduate work with N.Y.U. in Madrid and received her bilingual teaching certificate from the University of Houston. Cultural experiences include living in Mexico and Spain, and traveling to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Colombia.
